THE DAY BEGINS...

Many of our pupils are lucky to be able to walk or ride through Richmond Park en route to school each day. Those who catch buses will find the school is well-served by public buses that stop on Roehampton Lane, allowing a pleasant stroll through the University grounds. Buses come directly from Richmond, Sheen, Hammersmith, Fulham, Putney, Southfields, Clapham and Kingston.

Many Senior School pupils arrive by train at Barnes Mainline Station. Each morning, we offer a pro bono minibus shuttle from 7.45am bringing pupils directly to the school campus, returning to the station after lessons, clubs and activities at the end of the day. bus arrives

Pupils in the Kindergarten are met by teachers at the Priestman House gate and escorted to their classrooms, where they are helped to prepare for the morning's activities. Nursery children are taken by their parents directly to the Nursery.

Prep School pupils go to their classrooms on arrival and are welcomed by their teachers for Registration, followed by morning lessons. An emphasis is placed on being prepared for the day ahead, and on greeting each other in a courteous, friendly manner.

Before the formal school day begins, Senior School pupils may enjoy a warm breakfast in the Conservatory; Sixth Form pupils enjoy their own Common Room comforts. For Senior School pupils, Registration with their House Tutors, or Assembly with their House or the whole Senior School, marks the start of the formal day. Each day, the Bulletin is shared and discussed (and parents can view the Bulletin notices via the Parent Portal). Lessons begin promptly after Registration or Assembly.
