Ibstock Place School About the School

IBSTOCK PLACE SCHOOL

The School has a long and distinguished history. The journey began in Kensington in 1892 as a kindergarten using Friedrich Froebel’s educational philosophy and moved to Roehampton in 1946, acquiring the former home of the Countess of Sutherland. Built as an elegant residence at the turn of the twentieth century, the house now provides spacious classrooms, the library and the home for the Sixth Form.

Extensive grounds offer a variety of well maintained recreational areas and sports afternoons take place on our acres of fields. Visual and Performing Arts are separately housed and the Science and Technology Centre provides workshops, laboratories and computer suites. These facilities bear witness to the School’s commitment to academic, sporting and cultural diversity across the curriculum.
