Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships and Exhibitions are available for entry to the school at Senior 7 (Academic, Sport and Music). Sixth Form Scholarships and Exhibitions are also awarded (Academic, Art, Drama, Music, Outstanding Talent and Sport).
Means tested bursaries are available for parents demonstrating financial need. Award of these is subject to the completion of a Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances.
From the start of the 2009-2010 academic year a bursary scheme will be available for entry at Junior 3.
Fees
Current school fees are available on request from the Registrar.
There is a registration fee of £65 for each child.
If a child is successful at assessment a formal offer of a place will be made. The completed acceptance form is submitted together with a term’s fees as a deposit against the child’s last term’s fees at the School; the deposit is not returnable should the place not be taken up. The offer of a place will be deemed to have lapsed if it is not formally accepted within two weeks of the offer being made.
Under the conditions of acceptance, school fees are due on or before the first day of term. Compound interest at 1.75% per month will be added to all outstanding accounts after the start of term. Parents wishing to pay fees by ten monthly instalments will be charged an additional £30.00 per term.
Payment
The deposit of a term’s fees, held for the duration of a pupil’s education in the school, is increased incrementally on transfer from the Nursery to the Kindergarten and subsequently from Macleod House to the Senior School.
Peripatetic staff are paid on a fee-for-service basis.
A full term’s notice of the intention to withdraw a pupil must be given in writing to the Headmistress. In the absence of such notice, a full term’s fees will be charged.
The Governors reserve the right to raise the fees during the course of the year; normally at least one term’s notice is given of an increase in school fees.
All particulars may be obtained from the Bursar.
