Sixth Form (16-18)

The Sixth Form makes the most of our existing extensive facilities, in addition to resources designed and built expressly to meet the needs and interests of young adult learners, as distinct from those at IGCSE level. Apart from the strong tutorial framework already in place, our highly-qualified teaching staff, links with the local community and proximity to the cultural and educational amenities of London, create a challenging, vibrant and inspirational place of learning for students aiming for excellence in Sixth Form studies. A carefully planned series of guest speakers, visits and other events enhances the curriculum, with much of the impetus and initiative coming from the Sixth Form pupils themselves. There is a programme of Higher Education activities to prepare pupils for University level studies.

We currently offer the following subjects in the Sixth Form via GCE Specifications or Pre-U Principal Subjects, which are asterisked:

The Sixth Form curriculum is enriched by a programme of externally accredited extension activities and an independently devised research Dissertation, allowing pupils to develop the skills valued by Higher Education institutions.

For able and ambitious pupils, the Pre-U Global Perspectives and Independent Research syllabus (GPR) is offered as a way to capitalise on the Senior School Dimensions of Learning programme.

Places are offered in Sixth Form subject to the school's conditions of entry. A range of Sixth Form Scholarships are available. Examinations are held in Autumn Term. All particulars may be obtained from the Registrar:
