Drama

An exciting programme of Drama activities is offered for pupils. This includes Drama Club, participation in the many School productions for the Lower and Senior School, the annual House Drama competition held every Spring Term, and Speech and Drama lessons taught by a visiting specialist LAMDA teacher.

Pupils have also enjoyed performing in the Schools Shakespeare Festival at the Rose Theatre, Kingston and from time to time guest speakers from the world of theatre, film and television (including a number of “Stocks”) are invited in to speak to pupils about their work.  Recent School productions have included ‘Peter Pan’, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘Grimm Tales’, ‘Scenes from Childhood’ and ‘Cinderella’.

Productions are staged in fully equipped professional facilities within a spacious new building. This comprises a Theatre with hydraulically operated orchestra pit, Studio Theatre, extensive backstage areas including dressing rooms, technical workshop and stunning Green Room, and beautifully appointed front of house ground and first floor foyers.
