In line with HM Government's directive announced by the Prime Minister on Wednesday 18 March, the School on Clarence Lane has temporarily closed in order to help contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We shall look forward, however, to continuing our on-site provision for the children of workers in the Government’s critical sectors.
For all other pupils, we have activated contingency plans which will enable distance learning throughout the period of School closure. We shall remain in contact with pupils and parents to support them in whatever ways we can.
Senior School pupils are requested to prepare for online teaching from Monday 23 March by visiting the Firefly home page to familiarise themselves with how things will be organised. We look forward to welcoming them to ‘IPS online’.
We apologise for the disruption to our pupils’ education. We look forward to having greater clarity in on the status of public examinations in due course and, indeed, when School might re-open.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the current crisis.
Our School has a proud record of academic achievement and our pupils’ outcomes in public examinations are excellent. Unsurprisingly, results of such a calibre are reflected in our Sixth Form pupils’ destinations for Higher Education. Our pupils move on to study at the world’s top universities.Examination Results
