Parents of 12+, 13+ or 14+ Candidates attending Entrance Examinations on Friday 18 January and arriving by car should park in the Richmond Park car park nearest Roehampton Gate or on Bank Lane or environs. Please note that there is no parking on the School site. Candidates should then make their way with their parents on foot to the Theatre Foyer for Registration, using the gate on Danebury Avenue nearest the Theatre for access. Theatre Gate will open from 09.00 to admit Candidates. All 12+, 13+ and 14+ Entrance Examinations will be taken in the Theatre.
Collection of 12+, 13+ and 14+ Candidates will be from the Theatre Foyer at the times shown:
12.35 for 12+, 13+, 14+ Candidates with Standard time
13.15 for 12+, 13+, 14+ Candidates with Extra time
It is essential that parents are punctual for candidate collection.
Please note that there is no parking on site, but Candidates may be dropped off by car, as on Interview Days. The Main Gate will be open in the morning (only) from 07.45 for Candidates who have been instructed to register at 08.00 and from 08.45 for Candidates who have been instructed to register at 09.00. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN THE RESPECTIVE TIMES INDICATED. You will be directed to drive through the Main Gate on Clarence Lane and then along the front of Clarence Wing. Here you will be requested to stop to allow your child to get out of the car at the drop off zone. Please ensure that your child has his or her pencil case and any equipment he or she needs, as previously advised, and that nothing is left behind in the car. Parents should not leave their vehicles during candidate drop off. Staff and Prefects will greet and escort your child to be registered in the Refectory. You will be asked to drive on and exit School via the Priory Lane Gate. Please note that you may only turn left when making this exit.
If arriving on foot, you may enter either via the School Gate nearest Roberts Hall on Danebury Avenue or via the Visitors Car Park on Clarence Lane. Please do not use the Theatre Gate to come onto the campus. If walking along Clarence Lane to enter School, please do not enter through the Main Gate where cars may be trying to turn in. Registration will take place for all external 11+ Candidates in the Refectory.
(NB. Current IPS Prep 6 Candidates applying for entry to the Senior School should make their way on foot through the Theatre Gate for Registration in the Theatre Foyer at the time advised in previous correspondence.)
Collection time of Candidates will depend on the time of Registration, as set out below. Please note that for those collecting by car there is no parking anywhere on the School site. You are strongly advised not to drive into Danebury Avenue but instead to park in the Richmond Park car park nearest Roehampton Gate, or on Bank Lane or environs.
For 11+ Candidates who registered at 08.00:
Collection of External 11+ Candidates with surname A to K will take place at 12.15 in The Refectory (13.00 for those Candidates with Extra Time.)
Collection of External 11+ Candidates with surname L to Z will take place at 12.15 in Roberts Hall. (13.00 for those Candidates with Extra Time.)
For 11+ Candidates who registered at 09.00:
Collection of External 11+ Candidates with surname A to K will take place at 13.15 in The Refectory (14.00 for those Candidates with Extra Time.)
Collection of External 11+ Candidates with surname L to Z will take place at 13.15 in Roberts Hall. (14.00 for those Candidates with Extra Time.)
It is essential that parents are punctual for candidate collection.
Please access either collection point on foot via the School Gate nearest Roberts Hall on Danebury Avenue. You are asked to move speedily to the exit once you have collected your child so that we may ensure the collection process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible for all.
Parents of Candidates applying for entry to the Prep School are advised to park in the Richmond Park car park nearest Roehampton Gate, on Bank Lane or environs. Candidates should then make their way with their parents on foot to the Theatre Gate on Danebury Avenue. Please note this is the first School gate on the left on Danebury Avenue. This will be open from 08.30.
Collection of Candidates will be from Macleod House at the time advised in previous correspondence.
Please allow sufficient time for arrival and collection at School. You are requested to prevent congestion on Danebury Avenue by avoiding this no-through road and instead parking in nearby Richmond Park (which has a café), on Bank Lane or environs.
While the Entrance Examination and Assessment Day will conclude significantly earlier, parents may wish to note that Richmond Park's Roehampton Gate is locked at 4.30pm.
Due to Health and Safety reasons dogs are not allowed anywhere on the School grounds.
We regret we are also unable to accommodate children's pushchairs within School buildings due to the need for infection control. Visitors bringing pushchairs onto the campus will be requested to leave them outside Main Reception or by the School gates and do so at their own risk. School is unable to accept responsibility for loss or damage to pushchairs while left on the campus.
