Support for Scholars

Scholars are supported by a dedicated staff mentors who guides them throughout the academic year and highlights additional opportunities, both within school and beyond. These may include workshops, trips, and collaborations with professional partners. Progress is logged through Teams, where Scholars maintain a digital journal accessible to mentors and parents.

As ambassadors for their specialism, Scholars are expected to demonstrate leadership across both the curriculum and co-curriculum. They are normally expected to study their scholarship subject at GCSE and A Level, which may also involve contributing to sessions, establishing new clubs and societies, and supporting peers through subject clinics.

Scholars take on a prominent role in shaping whole school events and are expected to act as role models through their commitment to performance, practice, and preparation, and to participate actively in House Competitions, school productions and community events. They are also required to represent the school at Open Events, showcasing their discipline and supporting innovation in the co-curriculum.

Our awards offer:

  • an elite programme which will further develop your talents and skills, and encourage collaboration with other Scholars
  • opportunities to showcase your achievements within and outside of the School community
  • the chance to lead, mentor and inspire other pupils within your area of specialism
  • a fee concession of up to 10% for Scholars and up to 5% for Exhibitioners*
