SATURDAY 13 JANUARY 2024
An assessment day for pupils wishing to join Prep 3 in September 2024
On the 7+ assessment day, children will sit papers in Reading, Arithmetic and Mathematical Reasoning (non-verbal reasoning). The assessment follows the National Curriculum so will cover what children have already learned at their current school. We encourage parents not to tutor their child as this is not helpful in providing an accurate picture of their current level or their potential.
The children also take part in a number of workshops focusing on the other subjects that we offer at Ibstock. These are designed to be fun and give children the opportunity to show how they work with others and how they might enjoy the activities that we have on offer. We want to get to know each child, so as part of these workshops we are looking to see how they engage with other children and whether we think that they will enjoy the Ibstock curriculum.
FEBRUARY 2024
If a child is successful following their assessment, a formal offer of a place will be made.
This will be sent to you by email. You will be asked complete an online acceptance form and pay the acceptance deposit. Our offer of a place will be deemed to have lapsed if it is not formally accepted by the deadline stated in the offer.
FEBRUARY/MARCH 2024
You will be asked to confirm acceptance of our offer by a deadline (stated in the offer letter) and pay an acceptance deposit of £1,750.
The deposit is not refundable should the place subsequently be declined, if more than 14 days have elapsed after the acceptance deadline. This deposit will be returned to you when your child leaves the School.
MARCH 2024
Our Welcome Tea is an opportunity for us to welcome parents and carers of Prep School pupils to the School.
During this adults-only event you will meet some of your child's teachers, explore our Prep facilities, and meet fellow Prep parents and carers.
