These exceptional results mean that our Class of 2026 will move onto a wide array of elite universities. Over 90% of them will study at a Russell Group institution. 6 pupils proceed to Oxbridge while many others will move onto the likes of Edinburgh, Durham, Bristol, Bath, University College London and a great many other fantastic providers. Places have been secured for an equally wide array of subjects including Medicine, Veterinary Science, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Archaeology, Modern Foreign Languages and a great many others. |

“All-in-all, it’s a terrific day for Ibstock.”
Chris Wolsey, Headmaster
Headmaster Chris Wolsey congratulated our pupils on their achievements, saying:
"My very warmest congratulations go to our Upper Sixth Form leavers of 2026. They’ve done superbly well and their results are on track to be the finest ever achieved by a cohort from Ibstock. I know how tremendously hard they’ve worked to achieve them and they can draw enormous confidence from how they’ve finished their time with us – I am certain that they will go on to do great things at university and beyond. The fact that they’ve been able to achieve all of this while, at the same time, giving so much to the wider community of the school in terms of their leadership, mentorship, community service and co-curricular involvement speaks volumes about their potential – we are hugely proud of them. They embody everything which we want to be as a school.
Of course, it’s important to recognise everyone else who’ve contributed to these outcomes. I thank our staff, whose dedication to our young people is enormous. Likewise, our parents. Effective home-school partnerships lie at the heart of our collective endeavour, and I am grateful to them for the support which they’ve given on their child’s journey. All-in-all, it’s a terrific day for Ibstock. "
