Kitchen Garden Harvest
As part of their ‘Farming’ unit in Geography, our Prep 5 pupils harvested vegetables from our very own Ibstock Place Kitchen Garden!
From picking the huge marrows which had gained celebrity status at the school, to tomatoes and beans, it was a fantastic way to take learning outside of the classroom. Ibstock’s Executive Chef, Pastry Chef and Head Gardener were all on hand to oversee the harvest and teach the children all about the vegetable garden. A wonderful way to start the week, children enjoyed being out in the September sunshine and later getting to eat the fresh produce they’d picked!
