Prep 1 Visit to Kew Gardens 2026
Prep 1 visited Kew Gardens as part of their “Growing Plants” topic.
They took part in a plant science workshop where they carefully observed flowers through microscopes and identified and labelled the different parts of a plant.
The class also spent time outdoors learning about how seeds are dispersed and the important role of pollinators in nature. They explored the tropical plants inside the Palm House and saw a wide variety of unusual species. The day finished with a visit to the Beehive, where they reflected on everything they had learnt about plants and how they grow.
