VE Day Celebrations 2025
Pupils had a wonderful time commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day — a meaningful occasion to honour the sacrifices of the past and celebrate the peace that followed.
The pupils came to school in 1940s-themed costumes, raising money for the Royal British Legion. The Prep School enjoyed a special assembly exploring why VE Day is important, which included bell ringing, singing Vera Lynn, and hearing personal stories from people who were children in 1945. After a wartime themed lunch (shepherd's pie!), the pupils came together again for a Garden Party, where they played 1940s-inspired games with their teachers and friends, ate some delicious cupcakes, and celebrated in style!
